Falling is a series in process... Initial test studies of these images were previewed as black and white vinyl mesh life-size wall pieces at museums in Beijing 2003 and Shanghai in 2002.
The concept was originally conceived to create a dynamics between the figure against the architectural façade grid and the veil/ curtain, like a piece of staged choreography or ballet.
The gravity-free suspension of the woman allowed the images to be exhibited in staged-like sequence, like dance moves.
However; since 9/11 in New York, the works have taken on a more dangerous and thoughtful re-read. Now... there is an air of contemporary doubt (fear) that haunts the imagery... and a question that positions the read between news story and the anonymous documentary...
